Hi! I'm Natalya.

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and was fortunate enough to be raised by parents who were very conscious of their diet regimen and who instilled that consciousness in my siblings and me from a very young age. My mom taught us how to read nutrition labels when we accompanied her to grocery stores. I remember her saying things like, “If you see high fructose corn syrup on the label, put it down.”

As I grew older, I continued down this path and began educating myself more on the food industry, which led to a downright obsession. America has been in the midst of a health crisis, with the number one cause of death being heart disease—a disease that can be completely controlled with nutrition. Yet, not many people in the Western world tackle health issues from the inside out.

Learning that we have the power to hurt or heal ourselves through diet was empowering. I became obsessed with eating to feel good. Dining at restaurants became less and less desirable. Tuning in with my body became a new norm. I became a yoga teacher and a personal trainer, just to keep learning more and more about the body. It certainly has not been a straightforward journey—our bodies are all different, and there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all diet.

One thing we can all agree on, though, is that we all feel better when consuming more real, whole foods. As a society, we have become numb to the artificial nature of processed food because it’s so commonly consumed. We tend to lose sight of what’s real and what’s not due to powerful marketing tactics, making it difficult for so many of us to make healthy decisions!

My goal with this blog is to inspire you to eat more REAL food and to discover how simple, delicious and rewarding it can be. I’m not here to lecture you, or to tell you to never buy anything unhealthy ever again. I do, however, hope to motivate you to reduce your overall consumption of refined, processed foods.

I truly hope this blog helps you on your journey in some way!
